The private thermal experience by Mi-clos

What if your dream spa was tucked away deep in the forest?

At Mi-clos, the private thermal experience takes on a whole new meaning: a steaming Californian spa, an intimate Finnish sauna, and a refreshing outdoor shower — all with stunning mountain views. But above all: no schedules, just the sounds of the forest… and you, wrapped in calm, warmth, and wild nature.

Mi-Clos

3 sources of heat: the spa, the sauna, and the fire

Thermal therapy is nothing new. As far back as Ancient Rome, heat was used to relax the body, clear the mind, and ease tension. At Mi-clos, we carry on the tradition — with forest stillness, starlit skies, and deep quiet all around.

Here, heat comes in 3 ways to help you slow down

  • The private spa – a steaming Californian hot tub, nestled on your private terrace with mountain views. It’s like sinking into a warm cloud, birdsong included.
  • The Finnish sauna – a cocoon of dry or humid heat, depending on how much water you pour over the stones. The steam rises, and the stress melts away.

Each heat cycle lasts between 15 and 30 minutes — around 15 in the sauna, 30 in the spa. In between? Breathe. Pause. And don’t forget to hydrate — a big bottle of cold water is your best friend on this thermal journey.

The cold: a shower to awaken the body (and the mind)

After a good dose of heat, it’s time to cool down. The water flows crisp and clear, refreshing your body in just a few seconds. Your skin tingles, your breath quickens, and a new energy begins to circulate. It’s as if every cell gently wakes up, reconnected to the nature around you.

This step helps the body reset, boosts circulation, and sets the stage for deep rest.

Time: Just a few seconds are enough to feel the effects. Breathe, enjoy, smile. The bravest among you might want to stay a little longer.

Rest: in the sun or by the fire, depending on the season

Now’s the time to truly slow down. On the terrace, face tilted toward the sun, skin still warm, you let yourself sink into the calm. When it’s cooler out, you retreat by the fire, wrapped in blankets, feet toasty, thoughts in slow motion.

This moment of rest lets your nervous system settle and your body fully absorbs the benefits of the cycle. And the sleep that follows? It’s often the best of the year.

Time: From 30 minutes… to the whole night. Let yourself drift.

Mi-Clos

A hot-cold cycle to enjoy… and repeat

At Mi-clos, the private thermal experience unfolds at your own pace — once, twice, or on repeat all day long.
You simply alternate between sources of heat (spa, sauna, or fireplace, depending on your mood), a refreshing moment under the outdoor shower, and a quiet pause to rest.

And then… you start again. Because it feels good — and it works.

It’s the perfect escape to let go of tension, ease tired muscles, or simply extend that delicious feeling of well-being.

The power of heat, surrounded by nature

You don’t need to be an expert to feel the effects of a hot spa or a forest sauna. The heat soothes aches, releases your back, and melts away the tension built up over busy weeks. You feel lighter, calmer, more grounded.

It’s also an ideal way to unwind after a hike at Mont Orford or to close a slow, restful day in your dome. At Mi-clos, thermal therapy is less about protocol — and more about softness, slowness… and deep pleasure.
